UK Gas Networks Carbon Monoxide Awareness

Services: Campaign planning - Media buying - Poster production

Media: Transport - Out of home

We were approached by all four major UK gas networks, through a collaborative Ofgem funded initiative to help plan and implement a full, National communications campaign to communicate carbon monoxide awareness, the Priority Services Register and the emergency helpline to a mixed audience throughout the UK.

Targeting the general public, in addition to BAME groups, the vulnerable and the elderly, reaching as many people as possible to increase awareness, reduce carbon monoxide related illness, hospital admissions and death.

A campaign with multiple media outlets to ensure maximum saturation and visibility to all key audiences. With this in mind, we developed a strategy to use various media types, relevant to reaching the highest volume of key audiences in specific cities, delivering striking and relatable audible and visual creative.

Media rationale examples were to use London Underground for mass exposure and dwell time, bus for repetition and geographical reach, print to target a more elderly audience, digital and social media for close proximity and repetition and radio for an audible approach reaching those who are visually impaired.
